Gave my shift away on the 4th so we could celebrate at the Lohses’. The house is directly under ‘A’ mountain, so the view was spectacular. There were also residential firework displays in every direction that were quite pretty. The storm knocked the power out so we all ate by elegant candlelight, whilst listening to a neighbor’s party music consisting of daddy yankee. Really nice people, good food, beautiful weather and  ‘A’ mountain caught on fire, as is the annual traditon. Nothing celebrates america like setting plantlife aflame.
